Stuttgart, Germany based intralogistics specialist viastore has been named one of “100 Places for Industry 4.0 in Baden-Württemberg”. The competition was organized by “Allianz Industrie 4.0”, a network initiated and funded by the State of Baden-Württemberg. viastore impressed the jury with a convincing, innovative software solution which allows the controls of networked material flow systems to be commissioned virtually – this results in enhanced quality and efficiency, while at the same time reducing the risks and the time required for commissioning.

Industry 4.0, the intelligent networking of production and value-added processes, has long been more than just a vision and a research topic. With the “100 Places for Industry 4.0 in Baden-Württemberg” competition, the federal state in the southwest of Germany regularly awards innovative and practical solutions for digitalization in the skilled trades and industrial sectors. viastore was honored at a ceremony held in Stuttgart acknowledging the company’s solution that allows material flow control systems to be commissioned virtually.

Using the viastore solution, all the material flow scenarios can be implemented, tested and set to go live in a virtual environment. All components are displayed in a digital model and their operation is simulated prior to the actual implementation. An entire system can be commissioned virtually in advance, including the required tests. Physical startup is then carried out using the digital model.

“Our solution makes it possible to increase the quality and efficiency when implementing networked material flow control systems. At the same time, the risks and the time required for start-up are significantly reduced,” says Philipp Hahn-Woernle, CEO of viastore. “For our customers, this means that their intralogistics system quickly becomes productive and they can rapidly start to supply their customers.”

The jury of “100 Places for Industry 4.0 in Baden-Württemberg” paid tribute to the viastore solution, in particular, by pointing to the high degree of innovation and the considerable added value for customers.
